ProSteam’s Complete 8-Step Cleaning Process
Pre-Inspection: We will walk your home or business with you. This is for you to let us know your areas of concern and for us to come up with a plan of action to provide you with the best clean possible.
Protect Home + Furnishings: We will put down corner guards on all furniture and wall corners our hoses may be in contact with.
Dry Soil Extraction: This is one of the most important steps of a professional carpet clean that is often times neglected by other carpet cleaning companies. With a commercial vacuum cleaner, we are able to remove over 80% of dry soil that is in your carpets!
Pre-Spray / Pre-Treat: A preconditioning detergent is applied to every inch of your flooring. This cleaner alone is usually tough enough to break down general contaminants, spots, traffic patterns, providing you with a more thorough clean.
Pre-Spot + Stain Treatment: To increase the chances of removing those pesky spots and stains, we will determine the type of spot it is, and pretreat it with the appropriate detergent.
Agitate + Dwell Time: Using a counter rotating brush, we essentially scrub the carpets, further spreading the cleaning detergents and reaching deeper into the carpet fibers. With this step also provides the detergents with more time to break down the soils in your carpet to allow our vacuum to remove the maximum amount of contaminants as possible.
Hot Water Extraction Deep-Clean: Using extremely hot water and high pressure, this step is often referred to as “steam-cleaning.” At this step, we are thoroughly rinsing your carpets, using our powerful truckmount vacuum to leave your carpets near to dry and removing any residue.
Post Grooming + Drying: To ensure your carpet will be standing tall and dry quicker, we will use a manual grooming rake. This will help your carpet fibers dry in the correct position, leaving you with a clean, fluffy carpet. High velocity air movers are also available to help dry each room as we go, leaving your carpets dry and ready to walk on.
This is our standard cleaning process that is used for majority of the carpet we come across. Depending on the soil level, environment, location, current foot-traffic (ex. open business), customer preference, etc., ProSteam has the ability to provide you with a low moisture clean or dry-clean option.
